Happy New Year Everyone!
Thank you all so much for your love and support this year. Its been a great year for me and I can't wait for Lilygun's second album to come out in the New Year! For a taster of what's to come, download the first single Inside from Bandcamp.com now! Making this album has been so much fun and I have loved every minute of it! I'm a bit sad the process is over but I'm looking forward to getting the new songs out there. I wish you all the best for 2017!

INSIDE DIGITAL SINGLE OUT NOW!
The first single from Lilygun's new album is out today! Inside was the last song written by Anna-Christina before suffering from a Subarachnoid Brain Haemorrhage. She decided it was fitting to release the song on the same date as the incident using her head X Ray as the cover! You can download the song via Bandcamp.com today!

Second Album In The Making
During the month of March, Lilygun were recording guitars on their second album. Its been said of the band in the past that they incorporate the three G's - Goth, Glam and Grunge! This has been a pretty good description of Lilygun in the past. But their new album seems to have taken on another aspect of sound that we have not heard in the past. Although guitars are still a heavy feature in the new songs, Lilygun have branched out into a more experimental field in terms of their sound. Here are some photographs of Aaron John and David Ryder Prangley recording lead guitar parts in the new songs.
Anna-Christina Making Waves
At the time this article came out, I didn't really appreciate the fact that it had my photograph MASSIVE on their interview lol! The first question is "What inspired you to hire Anna-Christina from UK alt band Lilygun to join your line-up?" Always the Underdog... until I'm not!
I sang to a crowd of 1500 when I performed at Castle Party - the biggest Goth and Darkwave festival in Eastern Europe, Poland. I was so lucky to have had this amazing opportunity and appreciate what I achieved back then now more than ever. Not bad for someone who claimed to be a front person and not a singer lol! ~ACx

Second Album In The Making
Two songs on the new Lilygun album feature piano. Piano is the first instrument I learned to play and one that I love. I began playing the piano at school to hide from the horrible girls in my class. I'm a self-taught pianist but I spent so much time alone in a tiny music cell at my school, that I became quite an accomplished pianist! One of my first classical piano compositions met with the approval of Richard Blackford (the british tv, film, opera and Emmy Award nominated composer) and was chosen for a music competition to represent my school. I have never played in public again.As some of you already know, I am also a classical composer. Many of my classical pieces feature the piano so it's an instrument that's natural for me to play. I recorded acoustic guitar on a couple of songs too so we'll be posting photos of that recording session for you soon.I can't wait for you to hear these songs! ~ACx
A Step Back In Time
Recording, can at times be quite a sentimental thing. It can bring up all sorts of emotions in musicians. Whilst I've been recording bass on Lilygun's new album, it made me think of where many of Lilygun's bass lines have originated from.As some of you will know, I once had a bass player called Piranha. He was very special to me and the two of us became Lilygun together in the beginning. He couldn't stay in England and ended up going back to Japan but it was actually Piranha who helped me shape what Lilygun has become today. Don't get me wrong, I love working with my friends in Lilygun now and they are a constant source of inspiration to me but Piranha never got the credit he deserved. By the time our first album came out he was already gone and wasn't able to play on it which was very sad. However, his spirit is in every single song on that album. The funny thing is, his spirit will also be on this second album too! We had already made demos together of some of these new songs and I'm referring back to his bass lines once again.We have a sad story to tell but I will forever be grateful to this remarkable musician who taught me so much, believed in me when others didn't in our early days and helped me create a band I love. Piranha will forever be in my heart. ~ACx
